Job summary

Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU (Critical Care) to deliver exceptional nursing care to critically ill patients. The role requires strong organizational and leadership abilities to assess patient status and develop care plans, while ensuring a safe environment.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of RN experience with CCU/ICU exposure. Current RN licensure is required with BLS; ACLS and PALS are preferred or obtained within required timeframes.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required)
• 6 months RN experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit (preferred)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); ACLS preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conducts and analyzes initial and ongoing patient assessment, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness
• Synthesizes and prioritizes information to take evidence-based, patient-focused action
• Anticipates and responds to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Administer medications safely and in line with policies
• Other duties as assigned
