Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care across care continua. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care while engaging patients and families in decision-making.

You will monitor patients, adjust plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes in a fast-paced setting. RN licensure and BLS are required; BSN preferred where offered.

Qualifications

• Board-approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) served.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Telehealth licensing or privilege where applicable.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and maintains patient safety standards.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• Communicates effectively and supports team collaboration and delegation.
• Float to other units within the service area as needed.
