CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck, ND, is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to care for critically ill patients using advanced technology and clinical judgment.

You will monitor, assess, and implement complex interventions while guiding the care team in a high-acuity environment. The role requires critical care experience, an active ND RN license or compact state license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a valid RN license.
• 1–2 years of acute/critical care experience preferred; equivalent may be considered.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within orientation period.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care for critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and life support.
• Develop and manage care plans for sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac events, and multi-organ dysfunction.
• Perform advanced assessments and interpret diagnostics to adjust interventions.
• Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, therapists, and case managers for coordinated care.
• Manage life-support equipment (ventilators, CRRT, vasoactive drips, IABP) safely.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families, supporting decisions and end-of-life discussions.
