Job summary

Wilkes Medical Center in Wilkesboro, NC, part of Atrium Health, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join our ICU. You will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care for critically ill adults, using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care and to support families during challenging times.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of med-surgical experience, an active RN license, BLS, and ACLS within 1 year of hire. Completion of an accredited nursing program is required.

Qualifications

• One year of med-surgical nursing preferred.
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire for Adult Critical Care

Responsibilities

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
