Job summary

Wilkes Medical Center in Wilkesboro, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU night shift. The 8-bed unit provides intensive, specialized care for critically ill patients with vigilant monitoring and life-sustaining support.

The role offers 36 hours per week, night shifts from 7pm to 7am, and a focus on delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Required: RN license with at least 1 year of RN experience; critical care experience preferred; BLS and ACLS within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• Required: At least 1 year of RN experience
• One year of critical care nursing strongly preferred
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire for Adult Critical Care

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum
