One year of med-surgical nursing is preferred, and candidates must have completed an accredited nursing program and hold a state RN license. The ICU uses ventilators and cardiac monitors to deliver safe, high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• One year of med-surgical nursing preferred.
• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire for Adult Critical Care.

Where You Will Work At Wilkes Medical Center, our 8 bed ICU provides intensive, specialized care for critically ill patients who need constant monitoring and support for life-threatening conditions.It is staffed by highly skilled medical professionals and equipped with specialized technology like ventilators, cardiac monitors, and IV lines to support vital functions.Our goal is to not only provide quality, life-saving care but also support to the patients and families during their challenging time. Our low nurse to patient ratio and out of staffing charge nurse ensures quality care and exceptional customer service.

We’re Looking For

• One year of med-surgical nursing preferred.
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire for Adult Critical Care
