Job summary

Research Medical Center in the Kansas City area seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead unit-based nursing care during assigned shifts and coordinate admission/discharge processes. You will supervise staff and ensure high-quality patient-centered outcomes in collaboration with the management team.

The CNC will mentor staff, manage scheduling and inventory, support service improvements, and participate in recruitment and training.

Qualifications

• RN with current license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start date.
• Experience in acute care nursing and unit coordination is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborates with management to monitor and improve nursing care quality and outcomes.
• Coordinates staffing, scheduling and labor resources per patient care needs.
• Manages inventory and supplies to support unit operations.
• Provides guidance on interviewing, training, and performance evaluations.
