Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Wells, MN is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to coordinate nursing care, deliver direct patient care, and educate patients and families. The RN will support professional practice across care settings, lead quality improvements, and participate in committees as needed.

Position requires RN licensure and an adaptable, team-oriented approach. The role may involve extended hours, day/night shifts, and occasional on-call responsibilities; TN sponsorship is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• RN start date requirements and bachelor’s degree timing as specified by Mayo Clinic.
• One year RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of LPN experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care and provide direct patient care.
• Educate patients and families and manage transitions of care.
• Support professional nursing practice across settings and the continuum of care.
• Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement.
• Delegate patient care based on skill level, acuity, and resources.
• Demonstrate strong communication and mentoring; may participate in committees or projects.
