Promote and restore patient health by delivering individualized care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Performs tasks like: Establishing a compassionate environment acknowledging and attending to physiological and psychological needs;Closely monitoring status of patient under his/her care;Observing patient, recording significant conditions and reactions, andnotifyinghealthcare team as needed of patient’s condition; and Educating patient on procedures and treatments to gain cooperation, understanding and allay apprehension.

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State of Indiana
  
• One (1) or more years hospital staff nursing experience
  
• Recent experience in ICU
• Current Healthcare BLS and ACLS certification
  

HIGHLY PREFERRED:

• Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN)
  
• Two (2) or more years hospital staff nursing experience
  
• TB and IV certification (or willing to obtain within department guidelines)
