Qualifications

• 1 year clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• If applicable - experience in treating ortho and stroke patient population preferred.
• Cardiac Cath Lab Nurses: 1 year ICU/ER experience; 1 year+ IR/EP/Cath Lab experience preferred.
• 6th Floor Med/Surg: Two years’ orthopedic and medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Certifications: California RN License; BLS, ACLS; PALS; NIHSS; NRP; ENPC; AB508 requirements; active on hire/transfer dates.

Responsibilities

• Assist charge nurse with planning delivery of patient care for the shift.
• Precepting and competency validating new hires and procedures.
• Teaching nursing students.
• Coordinating assigned team and communicating expectations.
• Supporting quality improvement and unit service growth.
