Job summary

StaffDNA is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join the ICU team in our U.S. healthcare facility. You will deliver advanced respiratory care to critically ill patients, manage ventilation, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires bedside assessments, rapid response readiness, and the ability to educate families about respiratory care. A supportive, team-oriented environment with opportunities for certifications is offered.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor ICU patients with acute or chronic respiratory conditions.
• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation and other life-support systems.
• Administer aerosol medications, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed.
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing to evaluate lung performance.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Respond to emergencies, including rapid response or code blue events, for airway management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document treatments and progress per hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and equipment use when transitioning from ICU.
