Qualifications

Illinois RN license current.
CPR/BLS Card current.
ACLS Card current (within 6 months of hire).
Education: ADN/ diploma/ BSN/ MSN in Nursing.

Responsibilities

Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
Establish a compassionate environment to provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patient and families.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individual care plan in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Provide health teaching and counseling to promote and maintain health.
Demonstrate clinical judgement with critical thinking to recognize changes in patient condition.
Complete accurate documentation in the patient medical record.
Contribute to policy development to support patient safety and quality of care.
Supervise and delegate to licensed practical nurses and/or unlicensed staff when appropriate.
Advocate for the patient by communicating with health professionals.
Float to other SIH nursing units within competency.
