PeaceHealth is seeking a RN for our ICU Unit at PeaceHarbor. The position is full-time, 0.9 FTE, day shift (12-hour shifts). A sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available for eligible candidates. Salary range: $49.30 - $77.46 per hour. The facility has a 5-star CMS rating and LeapFrog "A" safety rating.

Essential Functions

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.
• Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
• Direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
• Ensure own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
• Participate in development and maintenance of hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Degree from an accredited School of Nursing (required).

Experience

• One year ICU RN experience in adult critical care, or for RN residents 400 hours in ICU as a nursing student within last 12 months, or successful completion of PHH ICU training program.
• Must function independently with advanced treatments, procedures, and equipment, including ability to diagnose and treat life‑threatening arrhythmias.

Credentials

• State of Oregon nursing license (required).
• Basic Life Support (required upon hire).
• ACLS and NIHSS (required within 6 months of hire).

Skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific principles of growth and development and ability to apply them to patient needs (required).
• Ability to promote positive interpersonal relationships and a patient/family-centered work environment (required).
• Ability to support and interpret the medical center philosophy, policy, and procedures (required).
• Basic computer skills (required).

Department / Location Specific Notes

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months.
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) required within 6 months.

Working Conditions

• Lifting: Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without assistive equipment; fine motor skills; push/pull up to 45 lbs.; CPR force 100-125 lbs.; frequent sitting; bending/stooping/squatting/reaching/kneeling frequently; non-patient lifting up to 20 lbs. occasionally.
• Environmental Conditions: Exposure to biohazard, body fluids, airborne particles; tasks in noisy environment.
• Mental/Visual: Vision and hearing within normal limits; ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
