Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, NE seeks an ICU RN to monitor critically ill patients after injury, surgery, or life-threatening disease. You will take reports, follow the care plan, and provide continuous patient care throughout your shift.

Key duties include assessing needs, guiding staff, managing IV pumps and alarms, and initiating emergency measures. Competitive pay with up to a $6,000 sign-on bonus and up to $10,000 in educational assistance for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska.
• BLS through American Heart Association required.
• ACLS required within five months of hire.
• PALS required within five months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, and implements nursing care while ensuring patient comfort.
• Anticipates, identifies, and responds to informational and emotional needs of patients and families.
• Guides and directs healthcare personnel in caring for patients.
• Maintains knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use; utilizes alarms as needed.
• Initiates emergency support measures.
• Assists with patient care duties/tasks.
