Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the ICU. This PRN position provides direct patient care in the ICU using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

You will perform plan of care interventions, document patient care, assist with activities of daily living, coordinate across disciplines, educate patients and families, and participate in performance improvement and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in NC or compact license.
• ASN from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification required; PALS/ACLS and Handle with Care preferred within 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.

Connaissances

RN license (NC or compact)

BLS certification

PALS, ACLS, Handle with Care (6 months

RN hospital experience
