Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time ICU Registered Nurse for day shifts in Illinois. The Staff Nurse Inpatient-Kishwaukee role requires a BSN, active IL RN licensure, and BLS certification, with ADN considered acceptable if a BSN is pursued within three years.

Qualifications

• BSN required for RN position.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• BLS certification required; ADN with plan to obtain BSN acceptable within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments for assigned patients with age-specific considerations.
• Develop and update care plans with input from the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per hospital standards.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge needs.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and other teams to ensure quality outcomes.
• Document patient status, responses, and teaching effectively.
