Job summary

AdventHealth in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU on a weekend night schedule. You will assess patients, design and adjust care plans, administer medications, educate families, and coordinate with the care team while maintaining precise documentation in the EMR.

Requirements include an RN license and BLS; ICU experience is preferred. This role supports weekend night shifts and requires strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

RN license required and BLS certification
ICU experience preferred
English fluency in reading, speaking and writing

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological and social factors.
Develop and implement individualized care plans with regular evaluation.
Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per physician orders.
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
Coordinate with healthcare team to optimize patient care and communication.
Document patient information and care activities in the EMR.
Engage in continuous professional development and quality improvement activities.
