Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit on Weekend Work Days. This part-time role offers weekend coverage with day shifts, competitive hourly pay, and opportunities to advance your clinical ladder.

You'll assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, educate families, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing required; RN licensure in good standing.
BLS certification required; additional state-specific credentials may apply.
Ability to work in a high-acuity ICU environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological and psychosocial domains.
Develop and implement individualized care plans and reassess regularly.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and maintain effective teamwork.
