Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit on weekend days in Shawnee, Kansas. The role offers opportunities for clinical ladder progression and salary growth based on experience and advancement criteria.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans and educate patients and families while coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality outcomes. The position is part-time with day-weekend shifts, in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse licensure required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Associate's degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
Develop and implement individualized care plans and adjust based on patient progress.
Administer medications and treatments safely, following orders and protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.
Coordinate with medical staff and departments to ensure effective teamwork and continuity of care.
