Job summary

Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit on a full-time days schedule. The RN will provide direct and indirect patient care, collaborate with physicians and the care team, and ensure quality outcomes for an assigned caseload.

Focus is on acute care, with responsibilities including monitoring patients, documenting care, and adapting to unit priorities in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school program required.
• Technical in Nursing required. Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position.*
• Basic proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
• Adequate verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals
• Basic competency in documenting patient information accurately
• Basic flexibility to adapt to changes in patient conditions and unit priorities
• Provides compassionate support to patients and families, ensuring positive environment in the hospital
• 1-2 years of clinical experience, particularly in an acute care setting preferred
• Proficiency in electronic documentation preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the hospital setting.
• Communicate with physicians, Nurse Manager, and coworkers about changes in patient condition and diagnostic results.
• Delegate duties and direct staff in delivering care while ensuring resources are used appropriately.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties across departments with supervision as needed.
