Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN, ADN or Nursing Diploma program.
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse in Louisiana; BLS and ACLS required; ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum of six months ICU experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Safety Sensitive-Designated Position

Responsibilities

• Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect critical patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation.
• Develops nursing care plans in coordination with patients, family and interdisciplinary staff.
• Communicates changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.
• Participates in discharge planning process.
