Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association.
• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Six or more months of nursing experience OR active Nurse Residency with Hackensack Meridian Health.
• Telemetry certification is a plus.
• ACLS certification is preferred.
• National certification is a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly, accountability for patient outcomes, teamwork and patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to up-to-date research and standards of care to provide safe, excellent patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and the healthcare team regarding status and treatment plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safe delivery.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of assessments, care plans, interventions and evaluation.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.
