Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital in Whittier, CA is seeking a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient/family centered care on a defined unit for 12-hour shifts.

You will apply the nursing process, perform assessments, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team using the Watson Model of Care. Responsibilities include documenting IPOC, conducting hourly rounds, SBAR handoffs, and participating in discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing (or higher) required; BSN preferred.
• California RN license; ACLS/BLS certifications preferred.
• Spanish bilingual skills preferred.
• Electronic Medical Record experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan patient care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate with care teams to implement IPOC and discharge planning.
• Perform hourly rounds and ensure patient safety.
• Document care and communicate changes to physicians using SBAR.
