Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in Indiana or an active NLC RN license.
• Must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification through the AHA is required.
• Two years of acute care experience may substitute for accreditation if reviewed by the CNO.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate competent, evidence-based nursing care across the care continuum (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Participate in decision-making, teaching, mentoring and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care.
• Adhere to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
