Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of recent RN ICU or PICU experience required.
• BSN or MSN or DNP Grad of an accredited nursing program required.
• Eligibility for licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Illinois.
• Current BLS/CPR and/or other unit-specific certifications.
• ACLS or within 6 months of hire; AHA-PALS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops, updates patient plan of care based on ongoing assessment and family input.
• Collaborates with health care team to promote effective patient care.
• Verifies and implements orders from physician and staff in EMR.
• Advocates for patients, families, and staff; participates in leadership activities.
• Acts as preceptor or resource to staff and students.
• Performs other duties as assigned; supports department goals.
