Job summary

UofL Health is seeking RNs with 2+ years of acute care inpatient experience to join our float pool across three major facilities in Louisville, KY. Opportunities include ICU Float and PCU Float, with night shifts available and per-unit base pay of $57/hour for ICU Float and $55/hour for PCU Float.

The float teams support inpatient units with direct patient care, medication administration, and care planning, collaborating with the care team to ensure safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Current KY RN licensure or compact license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN inpatient acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per policies and procedures.
• Administer medications and document per regulations.
• Develop and update patient care plans with the care team.
• Assess patient needs and monitor safety and outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and support units.
• Mentor and orient new staff; may act as relief charge nurse.
