Job summary

Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) / Student Nurse for the ICU/CCU to gain hands-on hospital experience while enrolled in a nursing program. This per diem role supports licensed staff and helps deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced ICU/CCU environment.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, document care in EMR, and communicate changes to RN staff. BLS required; CNA preferred; English proficiency essential.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a professional nursing program.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of at least one medical-surgical clinical rotation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic care needs and activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Take and document vital signs accurately.
• Support nurses with routine patient care tasks.
• Observe patients and communicate changes to licensed nursing staff.
• Maintain a safe and organized patient care environment.
• Document patient information using electronic medical record systems.
