Job summary

Temple Women & Families in Philadelphia is seeking a Patient Care Technician in the ICU for a 40-hour week on a Day Shift (7:00am–3:30pm). You will provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision and assist with vital signs, ECGs, venipuncture, IV placement, and glucose testing.

Preferred candidates have a Nursing Assistant/MA/EMT background or completion of related clinical training and at least 1 year of related experience. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Nurses Aide or Medical Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation, EMT training or Nursing student clinical rotation required.
• 1 year experience in a related patient care role preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under the guidance of the registered nurse.
• Measures vital signs, performs ECGs, venipuncture, IV placement, capillary blood glucose testing, and related duties.
• Supports Unit Secretary, Patient Transport, and Environment of Care tasks.
