Job summary

Temple Health in Philadelphia is seeking a Patient Care Technician in the Emergency Department for a full-time night shift (11p-7a). You will support RNs with direct and indirect patient care and assist with vital signs, labs, and bedside procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of approved nursing aide/MA/EMT training or nursing student rotation. One year of related care experience is preferred; Basic Life Support is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Nurse aide, medical assistant training, EMT or nursing student clinical rotation required.
• 1 year experience in related patient care role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under RN guidance.
• Measures vital signs; performs ECGs, venipuncture, IV placement, and capillary glucose testing.
• Assists with Unit Secretary, Patient Transport and Environment of Care duties.
