Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to provide direct patient care across units. You will participate in data collection, planning and implementation of care under licensed personnel supervision.

Responsibilities include vital signs, EKGs, glucometry and phlebotomy, with strong emphasis on documentation, patient comfort and safety. The role requires team collaboration and the ability to float as needed per policy.

Qualifications

• Vital signs and patient assessment experience.
• Phlebotomy and glucometry skills expected.
• Accurate documentation and charting required.
• Ability to communicate changes in patient condition to the team.
• Ability to float as needed per unit policy.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs, intake and output measurements and EKGs.
• Assists with phlebotomy, glucometry and specimen collection.
• Documents for all assigned responsibilities and follows care plan.
• Restocks supplies and maintains unit equipment and safety.
• Communicates patient condition changes to the unit team and supports patient comfort.
