Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Nursing Professional Development Specialist for the General Intensive Care Unit. The role focuses on promoting professional development and applying nursing clinical expertise, serving as a mentor and clinical resource to staff.

You will lead interprofessional quality initiatives and implement evidence-based nursing practices to improve patient outcomes. The position primarily supports the General ICU with some overlap for IMCUs.

Qualifications

• MSN is required for the role.
• Registered Nursing License is required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS are required.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Serves as expert clinician and clinical resource for staff development.
