Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit in Detroit. This full-time night-shift role features a sign-on bonus and requires BSN or equivalent, with Michigan licensure and BLS within 30 days of hire.

You will lead care coordination, apply the nursing process, and collaborate with the care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Night shift comprises three 12-hour shifts weekly, with rotating weekends and observed holidays.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active nursing license in Michigan.
• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire/date of transfer; AHA or ARC accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in coordinating and delivering quality patient care.
• Uses the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to care for patients and educate families.
• Communicates pertinent patient information to the health care team.
• Participates in identifying and addressing variances from patient goals and implementing solutions.
