Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital, part of Trinity Health, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor (RNS) to provide clinical and operational leadership for the ICU. The role collaborates with the Department Director to coordinate care, oversee staff, and maintain safe, high‑quality critical care services.

The candidate will lead shifts, ensure compliance, and mentor ICU staff in a busy environment, with emphasis on patient safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Maryland or compact state eligibility.
• BSN is required; MSN preferred.
• Minimum five years of recent ICU RN experience.
• Previous Charge Nurse experience is required.
• Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily ICU operations and patient flow.
• Provide direct supervision to professional and non-professional staff.
• Assign staff based on patient acuity and unit needs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and patient safety standards.
• Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Participate in orientation, education, coaching, and performance management.
• Serve as clinical role model and ICU resource for staff.
