Job summary

Mount Auburn Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse for full-time, 36 hours per week with night shifts. The role involves a collaborative care team approach, direct patient care, and discharge planning in a renovated 20-bed ICU in Cambridge.

Qualifications include MA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS for some units, and 1–3 years of ICU experience preferred. Weekend and holiday rotations apply; compensation is commensurate with experience and policy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience preferred.
• License Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
• American Heart Association – Basic Life Support certificate required.
• ACLS required for some specific clinical units.

Responsibilities

• Care Team Collaboration: Partner with the Care Team to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care.
• Direct Patient Care: Provide and document evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process.
• Patient & Family Education: Provide timely education based on each patient’s care plan and involve family members as appropriate.
• Care Coordination & Length of Stay (LOS) Management: Collaborate with the Care Team to plan care aligned with anticipated LOS and discharge planning.
