Preferred candidates hold an MSN and have 5+ years in leadership roles, with KY RN licensure and BSN. BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted RN licensure in Kentucky.
• Requires three years of job-related experience.
• BLS from American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• MSN degree from an accredited institution preferred.
• Five or more years of leadership experience preferred.
• Recent experience and/or certification in specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the ICU department(s).
• Resource management, staffing and scheduling.
• Assure delivery of safe, effective, timely patient care.
• Monitor financial performance and ensure expenses align with workload.
• Lead departmental initiatives to improve care, services and efficiencies.
• Maintain effective two-way communication with staff.
• Assist with patient care on nursing unit if needed.
