Job summary

Ascension in Nashville, TN seeks a Nurse Manager for the Saint Thomas Midtown ICU. You will oversee nursing department operations, ensure clinical objectives are implemented, and uphold high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have ICU experience and a track record in leadership, staff development and quality initiatives. This role includes collaboration with department leadership to maintain up-to-date processes and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN licensure in Tennessee and BLS certification.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Experience in ICU settings preferred and management experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess daily patient access needs and ensure that appropriate patient care is provided.
• Provide oversight of nursing department operations and ensure implementation of clinical objectives.
• Delegate duties to clinical staff based on assessed skills and monitor daily operations.
• Participate in hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
