Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking an ICU Nurse Manager to lead patient care planning, evaluation, and staffing on a 24-hour basis in a Magnet-designated environment.

The role requires NJ RN licensure, a nursing degree (MS preferred), and 3–5 years of progressive leadership in acute care, with certification requirements including BLS and specialty certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Required RN license in New Jersey.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive leadership in an acute care setting.
• High interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate in sensitive situations.
• BLS certification per AHA requirements.
• National nursing administration certification within one year in the specialty.
• PALS/ACLS as required by specialty.

The ICU Nurse Manager will:

• Assess, plan and evaluate patient care on a 24-hour basis for a specific service line/unit or units.
• Will have authority and responsibility for implementing hospital unit standards, policies, and procedures.
• Will be accountable for quality and safety, service excellence, staff performance/employee satisfaction and budgetary responsibility within their scope of responsibility.

Requirements:

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required, Master's preferred
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of progressive leadership in an acute care setting
• High level of interpersonal skills to resolve complex problems requiring innovative solutions and the ability to negotiate in sensitive situations
• BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
• National certification or nursing administrative certification within one year in specialty specific to care provided
• PALS, ACLS as required by specialty.

Salary Range: 119,283.00 - 190,791.00 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
