Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center in Missouri is seeking an RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the ICU to lead patient care and coordinate ongoing nursing activities during the shift.

This role partners with the management team to monitor quality, mentor staff, manage staffing and supplies, and uphold our patient‑centered care philosophy within a renowned, full‑service hospital that is part of HCA Healthcare.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• ACLS within 6 months of start date
• BLS within 30 days of start date
• NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of start date
• CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) within 90 days of start date

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, with management collaboration.
• Collaborates with managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operates nursing strategies, including employee rounds and other initiatives, to improve engagement.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training staff; supports performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in line with patient needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
