Job summary

Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Wyoming seeks an ICU Registered Nurse to provide direct, comprehensive care for critically ill patients. The role involves night shifts, a mix of 12- and 8-hour shifts, and every third weekend/holiday rotation. A $6,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an Ohio RN license and ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications is required. 2+ years of ICU or ED experience preferred, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Ohio RN license required.
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required.
• 2+ years of hospital critical care and/or emergency department experience preferred.
• Ability to recognize and interpret electrocardiographic information.
• Knowledge and experience managing ventilator patients.
• Skilled in assisting with invasive procedures and setting up necessary equipment.
• Demonstrates initiative, professionalism, teamwork, confidentiality, and strong communication skills.
• Independent thinker with a commitment to teamwork and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients and assist in other departments as needed.
• Assess patient needs, plan and coordinate individualized care, and evaluate treatment outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-focused environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care.
• Adhere to nursing standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote patient advocacy, safety, and improved health outcomes through evidence-based care.
• Serve as a role model for professionalism and teamwork within the unit.
