Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is hiring a Night Shift RN for ICU duties in Illinois. The role requires an IL RN license and critical care experience with ventilators, arterial and central line management.

Responsibilities include 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios, with occasional floating and Epic charting. Benefits include housing allowance, travel/licensure reimbursements, and day-one insurance options.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license in hand.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1–2 years ICU experience.
• Experience with ventilated patients and respiratory/thoracic management.
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• IABP experience preferred.
• Swan-Ganz monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• ICU unit setting within a hospital environment.
• Patient ratio of 1:2.
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30).
• Every other weekend required.
• Floating required.
• Epic charting system used.
• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients requiring close monitoring and advanced interventions.
• Open to first-time travelers.
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate.
• Former staff of University of Chicago Medicine locations must have been separated for at least 7 months before returning as a traveler.
