Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Intensive Care Unit in Mesa, AZ. You will provide high-level, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients during three 12-hour night shifts per week, with rotating weekends and holidays.

The role includes opportunities for advanced skills like EVD therapy and continuous renal replacement therapy, plus involvement in unit leadership and education.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred, especially in ICU/critical care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan care across physical, psychological, and discharge planning.
• Formulate and monitor a care plan with patient/family and multidisciplinary team.
• Implement and coordinate patient care with attention to physician orders and policies.
• Document assessments, plans, and outcomes in the patient record.
• Provide care and supervision as needed, promoting continuity of care and safety.

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred
