Job summary

Houston Healthcare in Warner Robins, GA, is seeking a Critical Care Tech for ICU, night shift (12-hour). You will provide patient care under the supervision of the Staff Nurse, assist with ADLs, collect specimens, transport patients and prepare for procedures.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, completion of a technical college program in patient care assisting or related field, plus BLS certification; PEARS and CPT training within nine months. Two years of hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a patient care tech in a hospital.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Rhythm Interpretation Course CLEP or equivalent within 3 months.
• PEARS or equivalent within nine months of hire.
• CPT training within nine months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under supervision of the Staff Nurse.
• Assists with ADLs and specimen collection.
• Transports patients and prepares for procedures.
• Monitors vital signs and performs unit-specific tasks.
• Follows documentation and health history procedures.
