Job summary

SJH is seeking a part-time night nurse aide to provide age-appropriate care across patient populations in a hospital setting. You will assist with admissions, monitor vital signs, and support daily living activities under the supervision of the Charge Nurse.

Responsibilities include basic telemetry monitoring, wound care, and ensuring patient safety and comfort while maintaining confidentiality and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Certified Nursing Aide, EMT Basic or Paramedic course and Basic Dysrhythmia training within 6 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills and strong interpersonal, phone and customer service abilities.
• Preferred: One year acute care experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Record vital signs and monitor basic arrhythmias.
• Provide morning and evening patient care and daily living activities.
• Prepare patient rooms and assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Transport patients and handle patient belongings with confidentiality.
