Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Night Shift CNA to support ICU patient care under RN supervision. The role focuses on day-to-day patient care activities, safety, and a caring environment that respects developmental and cultural needs.

Includes 72 hours per biweekly period, night hours 7pm–7:30am, with benefits such as health and dental insurance, 403(b) plan, PTO, and vision insurance. Prior direct care experience is preferred and BLS is required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire. Certification must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.

Education
