RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant II to join the Intensive Care Unit at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. This part-time, night-shift position supports patient care under RN supervision and participates in a multidisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required
BLS Certification through American Heart Association
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Effective communication skills and basic math skills
Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Responsibilities

Participates in assessment of patient needs and communication with the health care team
Participates in staff, patient and/or family education to a degree consistent with personal knowledge base
Participates in unit Quality Improvement activities
Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care
