Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit on the night shift in Arlington Heights, IL. This per diem level I role requires strong patient assessment and care coordination skills, with orientation scheduled in the first week.

You will assess patients, plan and coordinate care, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement to maintain nursing practice standards. Illinois licensure and AHA CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on assessment.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice via quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
