UNC Health Johnston ICU in Smithfield, NC is seeking Summer 2027 new graduate nurses to join a 16‑bed ICU team that delivers high‑quality, life-saving care. You will work under the supervision of Nurse Managers and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patients with critical conditions.

Start dates range June 2027 to August 2027. This full‑time role (36 hours/week) offers night shifts and a path through UNC Health’s incentive program for new grads.

Qualifications

• Graduation from nursing school.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the start of clinical care.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
• Participate in evaluation and planning with the interdisciplinary team.
• Engage in ongoing learning to meet identified learning needs.
