Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT, part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit. The RN will deliver patient care for high-acuity medical/surgical patients, coordinating nursing care with a focus on continuous cardiac monitoring and stability.

The role requires BSN (preferred), CT RN licensure, and CPR/BLS certification, with a 12-hour night shift and full-time schedule (36 nights).

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN graduate preferred.
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut
• CPR BLS (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care for an assigned group of patients that require continuous cardiac monitoring and various interventions, supporting respiratory and hemodynamic stability.
• Uses the nursing process to assess needs, plan care, implement the plan, and evaluate the patient’s responses and progress toward goals.
• Collaborates with colleagues, physicians, healthcare team members, and the patient and family to ensure safe, effective, and efficient care delivery.
