Job summary

St. David’s Medical Center in Austin, TX seeks an ICU/ ED Float Pool Registered Nurse to assess patients, develop care plans, and implement care across critical care and emergency services.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care and discharge planning, while educating patients and families on treatments. Requirements include 2 years RN experience; BSN preferred and ADN acceptable.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop/adjust care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy.
• Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff as appropriate.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care.
• Educate patients and families about care and treatments.
• Assist with discharge planning.
