Job summary

HCA Healthcare through St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX seeks an ICU/ED Float Pool Registered Nurse. You will assess patients, develop and revise care plans, and work with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective care.

Responsibilities include medication administration, pre/post-operative care, patient and family education, and discharge planning. A BSN is preferred; ADN accepted with relevant RN experience and Texas licensure.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as an RN.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable.
• Licensed RN in state of practice or active compact license; Texas license within 6 months.
• BLS required; NIHSS and ACLS within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Formulate a plan of care and revise based on patient response.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs and goals.
• Administer medications and complete treatments per policy.
• Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff per standards of practice.
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient care.
